There will be a combined Royal Southampton YC and Rival Owners Association Rally to St Vaast -la-Hougue on 27th -29th May.
Although St Vaast is not a Port of Entry, we have confirmed that it is possible to arrive and leave directly at St Vaast, by emailing the immigration form to the 2 addresses on the form: https://apisspl.kpratik.com/storage/uploads/2022/10/13/63480d1fb936dformulaire-immigration-SVLH.pdf
You should then receive a stamped copy of the form back, via the Marina, which is your authorisation to enter Normandy. You then need to send another copy prior to departure.
Alternatively, you can enter France via a Port of Entry, such as Cherbourg, and get your passport stamped by the Police Aux Frontiers. You then need to also get your passport stamped to exit.
The Gate opening times for the harbour of St Vaast are shown in the link. If the harbour is closed on arrival, you will need to anchor and wait for the next opening. https://apisspl.kpratik.com/storage/uploads/2023/01/03/SVLH_annuaire_2023.pdf
The outline plan (depending on when boats arrive):
Sat 27th May: Enjoy the delights of the morning market.
Evening drinks on the pontoon, independent eating ashore or on your boats.
Sun 28th May: Explore St Vaast at your leisure – pleasant walks available to the Tour Vauban, Sailors Church and around the town.
Evening rally meal ashore at La Marina Restaurant https://lamarinasaintvaast.fr/
Mon 29th May: Option of a shared lunch between participating boats (depending on when boats leave)
Tues 30th May: Rally disperses, with options to return to UK or continue to cruise in the delightful Baie de Seine, with good Norman cuisine and fascinating history, especially of the D-Day landings.
