Gins Pontoon user Guidelines

• The RSYC Pontoon provides a short stay facility (subject to availability) for members when loading/unloading and provisioning their boats and when visiting the Clubhouse.

• Authorised visiting yachtsmen may also use the pontoon when attending the Clubhouse.

• Overnight berthing is also available (subject to availability) for members and visitors who have pre-booked with the Bosun or Steward. Please leave the berth by 1030 hours if possible.

• Skippers are requested to contact the Bosun on VHF Channel 77, call sign “Sea Echo” when entering the River or reserving space and shall comply with berthing instructions at all times.

• Boats are to be properly berthed and not left unattended overnight without the prior agreement of the Bosun.

• Boats are to be moved up with minimum gaps or from outboard rafted positions when other boats depart, unless instructed otherwise by the Bosun, in order to provide maximum space usage.

• The Club dinghy is to be moored fore and aft and padlocked after use. It should not be left on a member’s mooring and should be returned for general use as soon as practicable.

• Dinghies and tenders shall not be moored on the pontoon overnight and should be tied up neatly with regard to other users.

• Berthing fees are to be paid to the Bosun or, in his absence, the Steward. If no one present, fees should be paid at the earliest opportunity thereafter.

• Hoses to be replaced in a tidy manner after use and the tap turned off properly.

• Please consider other berth users at all times.
