Celebrate the Festive Season with the RSYC

We hate to mention the C word, but things have to be planned and we have a full programme of events for you to put in your diary.

Kick off your Christmas preparations with our Christmas Flower Arranging Course on Wednesday, December 11. This will be run by our talented artist Caroline Tyrer, who is also a trained florist.

Saturday, December 14
Kick off the festive season with our fabulous Christmas Party. We will start the evening with a welcome drink, followed by a wonderful festive two course meal.
Then really get in the party mood with dancing to the amazing band Dog Ruff, always a great hit with our Members.
Drinks reception 7.00pm, dinner at 7.30pm, dancing until 11pm.
Dress code: smart/casual.

Sundays in December are always special with our Christmas Carveries, but Sunday 22 will be extra special with Santa’s Christmas Lunch. We are delighted to announce that the Beaulieu Band will be entertaining us andthere will be a special visitor for the children.

After all the excesses of Christmas, Gins will reopen on Friday, December 27, with a Gins Rally and Walk followed by lunch. Whether you sail to Gins or join us for an exhilarating walk, what better way to blow awaythe cobwebs.


Tuesday, December 31

For New Year’s Eve we will be joining with Hythe Marina Association for a sumptuous New Year’s Eve Party at the Boathouse Hotel and Restaurant at Hythe Marina. We will enjoy a three-course meal, before dancingthrough ‘til midnight, when we will celebrate the New Year with a glass of fizz and nibbles. Tenders at 1.00am.

The Boathouse is a boutique hotel and should you require accommodation book soon, as rooms get very booked up. Alternatively, come by boat and enjoy the marina facilities.

We have negotiated a special price of £50 per head for this event; which is available until November 23. Any bookings and payments after this date must be made direct with the Boathouse at £60 per head.

Dress code - black tie / formal.
